Have you seen this man lurking around the gym?

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton Police need your help identifying a suspect in a smash and grab break-in at a local gym.

Investigators say the man stole a credit card, which he quickly turned into a $500 gift card.

It happened around 9:30 AM Monday morning outside Peak Fitness on Riverburch Highway in Dalton.

The victim left her purse in her car in the parking lot.

Her back passenger door window was smashed.

The surveillance video shows a black passenger car pulling up next to the victim’s parked car only minutes after she got there.

The man in the blue hoodie got out of the drivers side, smashed the window, and took the Michael Kors purse.

It had her ID, the credit card, other cards and $50 in cash.

The credit card was used ten minutes later at a Walgreen’s to buy a greeting card and the gift card.

The same suspect tried to do it again minutes later at a Kroger, but the card was declined.
