Semi-truck Catches on Fire on I-24

A semi-truck was fully engulfed in flames on I-24 at Mile Marker 145 westbound, which prompted an emergency response.

On Monday, January 26, the Haletown Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and learned that the semi had both diesel tanks full of fuel.

The fire was eventually extinguished and no civilians were harmed.

One fireman had a small burn on their hand, according to the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department.

They share Jasper Fire was mutual aided for a tanker and an engine and also Kimball Fire for 2 tankers.
