Semi-truck rolls over guardrail, driver trapped inside
DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — An 18-wheeler rolled over a guardrail on Cagle Mountain Monday, according to the Dunlap Fire Department. They said the driver was trapped inside the cab of the truck.
The truck wrecked on State Route 111 of Cagle Mountain. Officials said this was just above the waterfalls.
The fire department said a wrecker secured the truck, which prevented it from rolling over the side of the mountain.
Firefighters were able to open the driver’s side of the cab. They said the driver then climbed out of the cab with their assistance.
Emergency personnel provided care to the driver, according to the fire department.
They said the wrecker service pulled the entire truck rig back onto the roadway.
The Dunlap Fire Department said the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
