Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office warns of jury duty, citation scam

SEQUATCHIE COUNTY — The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office is warning individuals of a scam citing several individuals receiving suspicious phone calls claiming to be from the Sheriff’s office regarding missed jury duty summons and alleged citations.

They ask individuals to not provide personal details or make payments to these callers.

They say the Sheriff’s office would never request funds over the telephone for such matters.
