Sevier county officials establish disaster relief website and recovery hotline

Sevierville, Tenn, (WDEF) – Sevier County Economic Development Council has partnered with Galtinburg and Pigeon Forge to create a one-stop information website related to the wildfires in Sevier County.

The website is – named after the Mayor of Gatlinburg said, “We are Mountain Tough, and we have a strong, strong faith in God.”

Also, Sevier County and the United Way of Greater Knoxville have collaborated to move all calls related to the wildfire recovery to East Tennessee 211.

That means that local residents can call 2-1-1 toll free and individuals outside the local area can call 865-215-4211. The call center will operate Monday through Friday 7am – 6pm EST.

TEMA says that these two information portals can provide information about non-profits accepting monetary donations, how to contribute items to the relief efforts, a list of items being accepted, updated videos from the Gatlinburg area, GIS mapping of the fire damage area, how to volunteer to help, and more.
