Signal Centers is expanding

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) –  A local non-profit agency that provides services for people with disabilities is expanding.

Wednesday morning, Signal Centers held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new enrichment complex.
The building is expected to cost $1-million but it’s also expected to increase capacity and enhance services.

"It’s also going to add really wonderful recreation facilities for the children with disabilities who are five years old or younger. One of the more exciting things is the new Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Foundation Technology suite. We have a 3-D printer and we use that kind of technology to create devices for individuals with disabilities," said Signal Centers CEO Donna McConnico.

There’s no word on how long it will take to complete construction.
