SkyBoss HQ officially opens at Collegedale Municipal Airport

COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. (WDEF)- A new chapter in aviation is taking off in Collegedale following the grand opening of SkyBoss HQ at the Collegedale Municipal Airport.

City leaders, aviation officials, and community members gathered Wednesday to celebrate the airport’s first major expansion in more than two decades. The project includes two newly constructed hangars totaling 20,000 square feet and is expected to support future growth at the airport.

Officials say the development is designed to strengthen business opportunities while also creating stronger community connections through aviation.

Jay Jolley, owner of SkyBoss, says the facility introduces a new approach to private aviation services.

“Well, SkyBoss is a new concept to the aviation industry,” Jolley said. “It took about two and a half years from concept to completion as you see today, and it is a membership-based private operational facility for members where we enhance their aviation experience through the care, maintenance, and management of their aircraft.”

Leaders say the expansion could help attract more aviation-related business activity to the area while continuing to position Collegedale as a growing regional hub for aviation services.

SkyBoss HQ is now officially open at the Collegedale Municipal Airport.
