Snow skiing, boarding and tobogganing this weekend at Ober Gatlinburg

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WDEF) –  Ober Gatlinburg re-opened their slopes for the weekend in Gatlinburg.

They’ve been making snow since Tuesday in preparation for the opening.

On Friday, they reported a 24″-36″ base.

The slopes were open sporadically in December, but closed after the first of the year due to warm weather.

You can get the latest conditions here.

“We now have the ability to adjust water and air pressure remotely on several of fan guns which optimizes snowmaking output. We were able to make GOOD snow (although not a lot) at temps near 32 degrees… once the temps dropped into the 20’s snow really started flying!”
