Soddy Daisy man arrested after SWAT standoff near Dayton Pike

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Soddy Daisy man was arrested after a SWAT standoff Monday evening.
At 7:20 p.m., September 22, 2025, deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HSCO) responded to the 8800 block of Dayton Pike to assist the Soddy Daisy Police Department (SDPD)with a domestic dispute.
According to the HCSO, the man involved in the dispute was armed.
The HCSO Hostage Negotiations Team and SWAT also responded to the scene.
After a standoff that lasted several hours, the suspect, Robert Ridge, was taken into custody.
Ridge was then turned over to the SDPD.
