Soddy Daisy Middle School out for power outage and road obstacles

SODDY DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Soddy Daisy Middle School cancelled classes Wednesday due to downed power lines across the road at the entrance to the school.

No cars or buses could get through.

The building lost power and phones lines are out.

Students were reported safe on buses. They were taken to Soddy Daisy High School where parents could pick them up.

Buses ran regularly scheduled routes to elementary school before picking students up at the high school.

Parents are allowed to pick up their child at the high school rather than waiting for them to be dropped off after elementary routes.
