Soddy Daisy Police investigating fatal crash on Dayton Pike

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) — One person has died as a result of a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Soddy Daisy.

According to investigators, it happened in the 7800 block of Dayton Pike.

According to acting Police Chief Jeff Gann, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when first responders on scene.

Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling North on Dayton Pike when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck a tree on the southbound shoulder.

The driver of the vehicle has not been identified.
