Soddy Daisy’s Tre Carter Ready to Start Pro Baseball Career

Chattanooga-(WDEF) Soddy Daisy outfielder Tre Carer put on his high school jersey one more time on Monday night in the
Tennessee-Georgia high school all-star baseball game.
And with his final swing, he hit a 3-run homer in the 5th inning to put Tennessee on top 7-4.
They went on to win the game 9-4, and Carter was named the game’s MVP.
On Saturday, Carter was drafted in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball draft.
Even though Carter signed college papers at Tennessee, he plans to begin his professional career this summer.
Carter says he will be with the Padres rookie team next month in Arizona.
Said Carter-“They’d like to see me get a little stronger. They want my I guess you would say my attitude or emotions to be more hyped I guess is how you would put it. But other than that, I think they think I’m ready.”
