Songwriters Festival features talent in historic downtown Dunlap

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — For its third year, the Songwriters Festival will be taking over the historic downtown area of Dunlap.

The small town has been revitalized in recent years, with the addition of a new recording studio in the heart of the city.

Award-winning artist, Cody McCarver previewed the special event on News 12 This Morning.

McCarver hopes to bring more people into his beautiful hometown and show them the great deal of talent in the Sequatchie Valley.

This free event will welcome local artists and traveling musicians to share their songs with the community.

Along with live music scattered throughout the city, there will be a variety of food trucks and activities.

The Dunlap Mercantile is just one local business offering deals during the festival. You can enter their giveaway for a chance to receive a hat from the crafted “Hat Bar.”

This festival will bring an amazing amount of talent to the small town.

Make sure to check it out Saturday, June 22 starting at noon.
