South All Stars Beat North in Southern League All Star Game in Chattanooga

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The South All-Stars beat the North 6-4 in the Southern League All-Star game on Tuesday at the Lookouts AT&T Field. South got on the board in the top of the third on a solo homer from the M-Braves Mycal Jones. South made it 4-0 in the fourth on a 2 RBI double from Montgomery’s Brady Shoemaker. The Biscuits Taylor Motter added a solo homer in the sixth to put the South on top 5-1. But the North answered in the bottom of the sixth on a solo homer from the Lookouts Scott Schebler. The Lookouts O’Koyea Dickson added a two run homer in the ninth, but it wasn’t enough. The South held on for a 6-4 victory. Tennessee Smokies third baseman Kris Bryant entered the game leading the Southern League in seven offensive categories. He collected a single in five trips to the plate. Tuesday marked the first time Chattanooga hosted the Southern League All-Star game in ten years.
