South Pittsburg High School vs. Boyd Buchanan School
They’ve allowed only 20-points once this season.
Friday night, they would try to slow down an old rival in South Pittsburg.
The Pirates have been averaging 48-points a game during a five-game winning streak.
Playing with fire might be safer than playing with Boyd’s defense.
There’s no smoking on campus.
Start of the 3rd, Boyd up 21 – 6, Quarterback Cooper Hodge picks up a 1st Down before he’s knocked out of bounds.
Hodge calls his number again.
Hodge slips up the middle and no Pirates comes into view.
He goes 54 yards for the touchdown.
That made it 28 – 6.
Bucs defense buckle down, Sebastian Oyler gets into the backfield and makes the tackle for a loss.
Pirates kept fighting though.
They get it to the 1 and Hogan Holland sneaks in for the touchdown, the 2 point try failed.
So , it’s 28 – 12.
Bucs go on to win.
