Special Needs Children Left In Cages In Chatsworth Georgia
GBI investigator Greg Ramey has spent 30 years in law enforcement and was shocked by a pair of cage like beds used by two children at this family home off Bahamas drive in Chatsworth.
Greg Ramey, GBI, "Single twin beds, metal, placed on top of each other, there was some metal hinges to hold it in place, actually had some wire types, plastic zip ties that was holding these things in place".
The children’s mother Stephanie Stone was arrested after an anonymous tip Thursday.
Murray County Sheriff Gary Langford,"Charged with cruelty to children in the first degree degree, cruelty to children and possession of a controlled substance".
But she’s not the only one connected to caging the two special needs children aged 11 and 8.

Mothers in the quiet north Georgia neighborhood are in disbelief.

"Both children are said to be in a suprisingly stable condition. DFCS had previously closed a case involving the children back in June but have now taken them into care.

34 year Stone and 49 year old Redfern remain in custody, no bond has been set.
Investigators tell us they are looking for a third suspect.
They would not confirm whether or not the children’s father was involved.
