Sprinkler saves local business from computer fire Tuesday morning

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) A worker at A 1 storage smelled smoke when she arrived at work this morning.

She says she found a small fire near a computer in the office.

She then left the building and called the fire department.

When they arrived at the building on Crutchfield Street, heavy smoke was coming from the building.

But the sprinkler system contained the fire to just the one office.

So firefighters were able to limit the damage and the company is still working today.

Fire investigators have ruled it accidental, most likely due to an electrical malfunction.
