Stolen e-bike recovered in Athens

A stolen e-bike has been recovered in Athens and returned to its owner following an investigation, according to the Sweetwater Police Department.

They say after following tips and investigative leads, Sweetwater detectives identified a suspect who was already in custody at the McMinn County Jail.

Detectives were able to positively identify the individual as Oscar Anguiano, who is alleged to have stolen the e-bike.

Anguiano had previously been arrested by another agency on unrelated charges just three days after the theft occurred.

He is now being charged with Theft of Property in connection with this investigation.
