Storage units burn on Polymer Drive

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Several rental storage units went up in flames this afternoon in the Highway 153 area.

The smoke from the fire could be seen from miles away.

Several drivers called it in around 1 PM>

It happened at Public Storage on Polymer Drive.

Three units were burning when firefighters arrived.

They had to cut the locks off of them to get to the flames.

When it was all put out, 8 units had been damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
