CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Officials are blaming the wildfire last night in the Cleveland area on the storms that swept through our area.
The fire burned more than 80 acres near Blue Springs Church Road south of Cleveland.
Volunteer Electric Coop officials say the storms broke a power line which started the fire.
Their crews had to wait for firefighters to contain the blaze before they could restore power.
That didn’t happen until the early morning hours.
Officials say no structures were damaged, no one was hurt and power has now been restored.
