GuruNanda Pure Cow Ghee Clarified Butter.
Ghee is similar to clarified butter, which is prepared by simmering butter and then removing any reside that separates. Mostly used in Indian cuisines, and has an almost nutty flavor. One teaspoon is 45 calories and 5 grams of fat. While the label touts the Ayurvedic tenants – Ayurveda ghee is made from raw milk, that is then boiled and cooled and then has curd cultures added. This ingredient label only states 100% clarified grade A Organic Cow’s Milk Butter; so I’m a bit confused. Please clean up your label so we know what we are buying! Retails for $14.99 for 12.8 oz. Bon Appetit Thin Crust Pizza Mozzarella & Pesto.
The concept for this pizza is terrific. Cherry tomatoes, slices of mozzarella in addition to shredded. Pesto. Voila! The pizza looks great and almost makes a delicious treat. Almost. The pizza is a little too sweet tasting. The crust, even though they call it "artisan" does little more than act as a carrier for the ingredients and the mozzarella has very little flavor. I cooked it at 13 minutes (they suggest 12-14) and my recommendation is to try it at 14-15 so the mozzarella will actually start to bubble and melt. You’ll have to add your own spices as this is a very bland pizza. One-third of the pie, about 4.5 ounces is 310 calories, 14 grams of fat, 8 grams of sugars and 12 grams of protein. Retails for $4.99 for 13.27 oz. Total Score is 81.

Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars Salted Caramel Peanut is a HIT.
This is a great move forward for Nature Valley. This bar is 140 calories, 9 grams of fat, 6 grams of sugars and 4 grams of protein. You can actually see the nuts – mostly peanuts and seeds – sunflower and pumpkin. They sit on this base made up mostly of sugar and milk. Here’s what’s good – this bar is not so sweet, but i would like a bit more flavor – the nuts and seeds are a bit too bland – don’t get mad at me for saying this – but this needs a touch more salt. Retails for $4.19 for 5.34 oz (6 bars). Total Score is 86.

Annie Chun’s Roasted Seaweed Snack Wasabi is a HIT.
I happen to actually like seaweed snacks. These are as thin as paper, have a nice delicate seaweed flavor. What’s disappointing is the wasabi flavor is too mild – even though the temperature gauge on the package shows it as "hot." Imported from Korea 10 sheets – or about half the package is just 30 calories, 2 grams of fat and one gram of protein, Contains 25% of the daily allowance of vitamin A. The packages tells us that it is a good source of vitamins and minerals…but how about listing them for us? Retails for $1.40 for .35 oz. Total Score is 88.
