Suspect arrested after waiving a gun outside an East Brainerd home

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – Deputies were called to a home in East Brainerd on Monday on a report of a man waiving a gun in front of the house.

They say it was a domestic order case in the 9000 block of Kesler Lane.

When Hamilton County deputies arrived, they say he was shouting for the resident to come outside.

But he fled when they approached.

The car chase didn’t last very long until deputies disabled the fleeing vehicle at Fuller and East Brainerd Road.

Esaul Pena was taken into custody.

Officers say they found a loaded 9mm Glock 43 pistol with an attached laser sight in the vehicle, along with several cans of opened and unopened beer.

He faces charges of domestic assault, reckless endangerment, DUI and evading arrest.
