Suspect charged for running into police chief on motorcycle
WHITWELL, Tennessee (WDEF) – Police in Whitwell have arrested a suspect who they say ran into a police chief while he was trying to get away on a motorcycle.
The chase started Monday afternoon when an officer spotted the bike without a license plate.
The chase through Marion County blew through a couple of red lights and hit a hundred miles an hour.
At one point, Powell’s Crossroads Police Chief Seagraves was on the side of the law blocking a road.
The motorcycle driver, Bradden Brown, stalled the bike, and ran into the chief.
His bike then caught on fire.
The chief helped take him into custody.
They later found that Brown’s license was revoked for DUI and he had another warrant for him in Bledsoe County.
He was charged with:
Felony Evading
Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer
Driving while license revoked
Possession of schedule I
Reckless driving
