SWAT called to domestic stabbing Sunday Morning

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Just before 10am Sunday morning, Chattanooga Police were called to the 1300 block of Moss Drive after a domestic stabbing.

Police say that the female victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds when they arrived on scene and was immediately taken to a local hospital. Officials say her injuries are non-life-threatening.

Police say they identified the suspected as 33 year old Johnny Wade. CPD says they obtained warrants for his arrest, and located him in the 1500 block of Akins Drive.

According to Chattanooga Police, the suspect was uncooperative and refused to leave the residence so SWAT and the Hostage Negotiation Team were called out.

Over an hour later, Chattanooga Police say the Hostage Negotiation Team was able to persuade the suspect to surrender without incident.
