SWAT team called to domestic assault case in East Ridge
EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – East Ridge authorities called in the SWAT team to get a man out of his house Wednesday afternoon.
It started when Edlicia Oattes called police to say her son had tried to hit her in the face with a pipe and then assaulted her.
The son, Kedarrian Higgins, locked himself inside the house before police arrived.
Officers tried to make contact with him for two hours, but he would not answer the home or come to the door.
So they called the SWAT team to get him out.
But before they could deploy, Higgins gave himself up.
He faces a charged of aggravated domestic assault.
