Tavonia Johnson charged in fatal stabbing off Highway 58

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A suspect has been arrested in a fatal stabbing that happened over the weekend.

49 year old Tavonia Johnson is accused of fatally stabbing 60 year old George Deramus, who was found by police with stab wounds on Merrywood Lane.

Officials say the incident happened last night.

When they arrived to the scene, Deramus was dead from the stab wounds.

Tavonia Johnson has been charged with criminal homicide.
