TECH BYTE: Apple’s Spatial Computing Era Begins

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Apple’s era of spatial computing is finally here!

You can now preorder the Vision Pro. It’s Apple’s first VR headset and spatial computer.

Apple CEO Tim Cook calls it “the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created.”

The tech company first announced the new device last summer.

It lets your imagination come to life – blending digital content with the physical world.

You’re literally in your own 3D movie!

The Vision Pro is powered by visionOS.

You can control the headset with your eyes, hands, and voice.

You’ll have plenty of ways to do it too, with more than a million compatible apps to choose from.

Apple says users can interact with those apps by just looking at them, tapping their fingers to select, flicking their wrist to scroll, or using a virtual keyboard to type.

Users can always use Siri to navigate the device, as well.

You can use this VR headset to be more productive doing everyday tasks.

Apps like Microsoft 365 and Slack can appear side by side for multitasking.

And then, of course, the Vision Pro can be used for fun too.

It’s great for watching your favorite movies and TV shows on all of the streaming services.

It also enhances your video gaming experience.

Apple’s new VR headset has 256GB of storage.

It’ll cost you about $3,500.

You can find the Vision Pro at all U.S. Apple store locations, and online starting February 2.
