TECH BYTE: A Look at Apple’s New Vibrant Products
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Your next Apple desktop computer is about to get more colorful.
The company’s bringing back their vibrant looking computers from the late ’90s, and they’ve, of course, gotten a makeover as big as their color.
Apple’s newest products featured at its recent “Spring Loaded” event are as colorful as the season.
The new iPhone 12 is getting a new color – purple – but the new 24 inch iMac is getting seven of them.
Not just purple, but green, blue, pink, orange, yellow, and silver too!
And yes, it does have a matching keyboard, mouse, trackpad, and woven cable.
You won’t just benefit from the new look, which is much thinner than the original desktop at only 11.5 mm.
The updated iMac has a new touch screen feature, where users can easily unlock their computer, make payments, and quickly download apps with just a finger.
The computer also has a 4.5K Retina display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and studio-quality mics.
These are exactly the features you need for those virtual meetings for work or school.
You can also run many of your iPhone and iPad apps right on your iMac with M1 and macOS Big Sur.
The most basic model will cost you about $1300, with 256GB of storage. If you want more color options, storage, and Touch ID, be prepared to pay more money.
You can order the new iMac April 30, and it’ll be available in the second half of May.
Apple also showed off its new AirTag product. It uses Bluetooth to help you find things like your keys, wallet, or even your car!
You won’t have to worry about losing anything important again.
