Teen arrested after gun shot in the Hamilton Place area over the weekend

No one was injured

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A teenage argument ended in gunfire over the weekend near Hamilton Place.

Police say the fight was between juvenile girls and two boys Saturday night around 7:30 PM on Hamilton Place Boulevard.

They were between the Cheesecake Factory and Aloft Hotel, when one of the young males fired a shot.

No one was hit by the shot, but it damaged a window at the hotel.

All of the juveniles ran from the scene, but police have now arrested a 16 year old male for firing the gun.

He was taken into custody at the scene.

Then after talking to witnesses and finding the gun, they placed him under arrest.

This was the second “shots fired” call police got Saturday in a public place.

Police say a woman was injured when she was hit by a vehicle after running from gunfire on Broad Street.
