Teenager charged with making a Snap Chat threat in Fort Payne

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Fort Payne Police have charged an 18 year old with making threats on Snap Chat.

Tomas Jacinto Tomas is a former student at Fort Payne High.

Investigators were made aware of the threatening message against the school system.

They tracked him down, interviewed him, then charged him.

Police say “This threat might not have been disclosed had it not been for a group of concerned students who cared about themselves, their friends and Fort Payne High School.

Investigators say this arrest is NOT related to the threat reported to the FBI tip line from Rochester, New York.
