Tennessee posts the state broadband accessibility map
You have until May 30 to comment on broadband in your area
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The state of Tennessee is posting a broadband map online to get your feedback on the availability in your area.
TNECD is asking for public comment through May 30.
They have collected data from providers across the state. You can search the map by address. It includes the broadband capabilities in all 95 counties, including speeds and technology types.
Once the map is complete, Tennessee officials can use is as the “map” for where to spend money.
“Our state map will play an important role in helping our team make informed decisions about where to invest broadband funding, both for infrastructure and adoption programs,” TNECD Broadband Director Taylre Beaty said.
You can find the current map here: Tennessee Broadband Accessibility Map (connectednation.org)
After the comment period ends, they hope to put together the final map by late summer.
