Tennessee River Park Nominated for Best Riverwalk by USA Today

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee River Park has been nominated by USA Today as one of the best riverwalks in the United States. USA Today is hosting a survey where you can vote for your favorite.

There will be 10 winning riverwalks determined by votes.

USA Today says you can vote once per day for your favorite riverwalk until voting closes.

You can vote until 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, February 6th.

The 10 winners of best riverwalk will be announced on Friday, February 17th.

USA Today gave this description of the Tennessee River Park:

“This 150-acre park offers Chattanooga visitors the opportunity to experience a diverse landscaped trail traversing the southern bank of the Tennessee River. Explore the natural beauty and be sure to sample some of the excellent cuisine available on your journey. Enjoy a day of family fun as you bike, walk, jog, fish or skate. Or just people-watch and enjoy some solitary time in the fresh air and sunshine.”

  • Canal Walk – Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Charles River Esplanade – Boston, Massachusetts
  • Chicago Riverwalk – Chicago, Illinois
  • Detroit International Riverwalk – Detroit, Michigan
  • Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway – Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Hudson River Park – New York, New York
  • Milwaukee Riverwalk – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Mississippi Riverwalk – Dubuque, Iowa
  • River Street – Savannah, Georgia
  • Riverfront Park – Nashville, Tennessee
  • San Antonio River Walk – San Antonio, Texas
  • Schuylkill River Trail – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Smale Riverfront Park – Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Tampa Riverwalk – Tampa Bay, Florida
  • Tennessee River Park – Chattanooga, Tennessee
  • Three Rivers Heritage Trail – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Waterfront Park – Louisville, Kentucky
  • Waterplace Park and Riverwalk – Providence, Rhode Island
