Tennessee Sweeps Local All Star Softball Game Against Georgia

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The local Tennessee All Star softball team swept Georgia on Tuesday night at Frost Stadium. They won game one 9-1 and game two 8-0. Gatorade state softball player of the year Ashley Rogers was in the circle for Tennessee in game two. The Meigs Co graduate and Lady Vols signee threw five shut-out innings. Red Bank’s Hannah Wood belted a 3 run homer in the 5th inning to make the score 6-0. In the sixth, Ooltewah’s Ally Chernak had an RBI single to make it 7-0. Moments later and Wood added an RBI single to make the score 8-0, and that RBI base hit ended the game.
