The Health Department host Back-to-School event on Thursday

CHATTANOOGA, TENN. (WDEF)- The Health Department will host a Back-to-School open house event on Thursday. 

The event is catered to all families as they prepare for the upcoming school year

This event will feature a variety of activities along with free food and vaccines. 

The Health Department will even provide school supplies for students.

“A lot of times families are busy in the community and they can not get to us because our hours are typically 8 to 4, so this is an after hours event where families can come in and bring  the children,” Joeli Pifer, PIO for Hamilton County Health Department. “ We want to offer it all at once for families so that way they do not have to fit us into their schedule. We are completely open for them.”

The open house will start at 5 PM and last until 8 PM at the 3rd street location
