Thieves Target Wallace A. Smith Elementary School

OOLTEWAH, TN (WDEF) – Thieves targeted Wallace A. Smith Elementary in Hamilton County for a second time this school year.

Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday, school leaders say someone broke a window to gain access to the building.

They made off with several computers.

Chester Bankston represents district nine, which includes the Ooltewah area.

Bankston adds, "It’s awful. We put cameras up after the last time. THe alarm doesn’t go off until they actually go in the building. I got a feeling it’s the kids coming out of the subdivisions over there. So, we’re going to have to do something to put a stop to it."
