THP investigating Rhea County crash

RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Rhea County.

According to the Highway Patrol, one car was involved in the crash on Pete Worthington Road.

THP identified the driver as 27 year old, George Lemay the 3rd,  of Evansville TN.

Lemay was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer was traveling north on Pete Worthington Road.

THP says the vehicle ran off the roadway and hit an embankment and rolled several times.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a young boy was ejected from the vehicle and airlifted to the hospital. They say a female child also was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

The two children are minors and information is protected.

THP says they are investigating the crash and that charges are pending.
