THP planning Chattanooga drivers license checkpoint in October
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has announced they will be conducting a drivers license checkpoint in Chattanooga.
The date is set for October 11, 2024 starting at 9:00 a.m. on West 37th Street near Charger Drive.
Troopers are trying to lessen the amount of unqualified drivers on the roadways.
THP has also announced they will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint, October 25, 2024, starting at 10:00 p.m.
The checkpoint will be located at the THP Post on Highway 41.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that they’ve found these checkpoints to be effective in enforcing drivers license laws while ensuring motorists safety.
