Three TN Representatives may be expelled
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee House filed a resolution to expel three representatives on Monday.
Chair member Rachel Campbell of the HCDP confirmed that Gloria Johnson, Justin Pearson and Justin Jones will likely be expelled.
Representative Johnson also posted a photo of the resolution to Twitter.
The resolution states that these three representatives knowingly and intentionally brought disorder and dishonor to the House through their actions. It states that this happened during a House Floor Session on March 30.
Campbell stated that the three representatives were protesting the lack of gun restrictions in the state, following the recent school shooting in Nashville.
The resolution also reveals that Johnson, Pearson and Jones were shouting during the session, shortly before 11 a.m.
