Thursday’s Address Highlights Mayor’s ‘One Chattanooga Plan’ for Uniting and Advancing Chattanooga
“Thursday’s address was a key opportunity for Chattanoogans to come together and learn about the mayor’s ‘One Chattanooga Plan’—a comprehensive strategy aimed at uniting our community and driving forward progress in various sectors.
The address began with a captivating video showcasing the best of Chattanooga—highlighting the city’s achievements and vibrant community life.
In his address, the mayor tackled several key issues. He discussed efforts to improve income levels, emphasizing strategies to address economic disparities and promote greater equity across the city.
“First, equity and opportunity for all are still essential values in our work at City Hall. You may have heard that DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) has fallen out of favor in corporate America, but it has not lost its importance at City Hall,” said Mayor Kelly.
Public safety and education were also major topics. Mayor Kelly spoke about ongoing initiatives to strengthen public schools and ensure a safer environment for all residents.
