The American Red Cross of Tennessee is reminding individuals about how to avoid carbon monoxide and what to do if it happens to you.

They say if you or someone you know shows any of these signs, immediately go outside for some fresh air and call 911:

• Dizziness or feeling tired
• Strong headaches
• Confusion
• Vomiting
• Upset stomach
• Trouble breathing

They say to never use an oven to heat your home.
