Titans Taylor Lewan Goes Boss Hogg to Celebrate New Contract

When you sign a new contract worth more money than you can imagine, why not celebrate. That’s exactly what Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan did on Friday. He went Dukes of Hazzard dressing up like Boss Hogg after signing his new mega-deal.

Lewan feels like Boss Hogg after signing the richest contract ever in the NFL for an offensive lineman. A reported five years for 80-million-dollars.
Said Lewan:”I haven’t even had an opportunity to think about it. This morning going in there and signing a contract. Then literally coming down and going right to meetings. The only thing I’m trying to be is the best left tackle I can be for this team. Everything else. I’m not here to reinvent the wheel. Doesn’t matter how much you get paid. I’m just here to do my job.”
Lewan’s furry friend was dapper in a matching Boss Hogg hat, but it’s Lewan’s friends in the trenches he cherishes the most.
Said Lewan:”I think that’s really special. Not a lot of times do you see the same offensive line together for three years. I love these guys. Getting the opportunity to play with them. Camaraderie. Just the stuff going on with the Predators. Have the opportunity to go and do that. We’ve got a great group of guys here. So we did this whole deal as a joke, but in all seriousness, this is unbelievable. You’re not going to find a better O-line room that’s for sure.”
For head coach Mike Vrabel, he’s happy the deal is done.
Said Vrabel:”We were focused on football you know before this, and we’ll be focused on football after this. It’s part of this game. Part of what we do, and Jon (Robinson) and his crew did a great job. We’re glad that he’s going to be with us for a long time.”
