Titans Can End Playoff Drought With Victory Over the Jaguars

The NFL schedule says the playoffs start next week, but they actually start this weekend for the Titans.
They have to beat the Jaguars to make the postseason.
The Titans know the message and the mission Sunday. If only the execution was so simple.
Reporter:”Is it as easy as it sounds? Win the game, and you’re in the playoffs.”
Said linebacker Avery Williamson:”I mean it’s never easy. It’s going to be cold. (chuckles) The weather is going to be cold as hell. It’s never easy to go out there and get a win.”
Titans looked good against Jacksonville in mid-September as they jumped the Jags 37-16.
Reporter:”You’ve played 13 games since that first time against the Jags. What do you remember about that game?”
Said tight end Delanie Walker:”Not much.” (laughter)
It was a September to remember for Derrick Henry against the Jaguars. He ran for a then career high 92 yards. Now he will start this Sunday since fellow back DeMarco Murray is out with a knee sprain.
Said Henry:”I’m going to make the best of my opportunities. Like I said, it’s all about how we execute here. That’s the big main focus.”
And Tennessee is ready to grab their first playoff spot since the 2008 season.
Said Walker:”It’s down to this last game, and we’ve got to win it to get in the playoffs. Guys got to dig down deep, and we’ve got to get this done.”
Said linebacker Wesley Woodyard:”And that’s all you really want. You want that ticket to be in there to get a chance to get that trophy at the end of the year, and that’s what we have the opportunity to do.”
Time to ‘Titan Up’ at Nissan Stadium.
Said offensive lineman Taylor Lewan:”I think it’s a big deal for the fans to be here. I know we haven’t necessarily lived up to their expectations this year, but that can all go away with one win.”
The Titans host the Jaguars at 4:25pm on Sunday, and the game will be televised on News 12 Now.
