Titans Keeping Close Watch on WR Corey Davis to Open Rookie Camp
(WDEF) – The Titans barely missed the playoffs after going 9-7 last year.
Maybe their new rookie class can help’em get over the playoff hump this season.
Tennessee opened their rookie mini-camp on Friday, which included first round draft pick Corey Davis of Western Michigan.
The 6’3, 210-pound Davis is a receiver, but he looks like a tight end.
The Titans are taking it slow with Davis since he had ankle surgery in the off-season.
Said head coach Mike Mularkey: “It’s surprising. Marcus (Mariota) met him for the first time today. He was surprised of his size. He is a good looking athlete. We’re monitoring what we are doing with him right now.”
Said Davis: “There’s a lot of doubters and everything. You know I’m here. I’m just here to do my job and do what I can for this team.”
