Titans QB Marcus Mariota Will Start Sunday Against Philadelphia

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota returns to the starting lineup this weekend. Mariota has been nursing an elbow injury that leaves some tingling in his right hand. He was forced to come off the bench against Jacksonville when Blaine Gabbert got hurt. Gabbert remains in the team’s concussion protocol. Mariota is still not a hundred percent, and he will continue to wear a glove on his throwing hand.

Said head coach Mike Vrabel:”Marcus will be a starter, and we are obviously excited about that because he’s feeling better. That’s really all we were hoping for.”
Mariota:”The glove helps in terms of just getting some more grip. Eventually I’d like to get rid of it. I don’t really like having it on my hand. For now it’s helping, so I’ll continue to use it.”

The Titans and Eagles kick at 1pm Sunday in Nashville.
