Toddler discovered shot in head on Christmas morning
WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – The Walker County Sheriff’s Office and the G.B.I. responded to a scene of a Christmas morning shooting which involved a two year old victim.
Deputies were dispatched to Tarvin Rd., Rock Spring, GA at 9:50 a.m., Christmas morning.
Upon arrival, deputies and E.M.S. discovered a toddler had a gunshot wound to the head.
The child was rushed to a hospital in Chattanooga.
According to the Sheriff, the child’s father and an infant child were at the home at the time of the shooting.
The father was tending to the infant child when the shooting happened.
The Walker County Department of Family and Children’s Services is assisting with the investigation.
News 12 has not heard yet on the condition of the toddler.
