Toddler found in car seat sitting on the side of Georgia highway

COVINGTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Deputies are investigating how a toddler ended up in a car seat on the side of the highway.

The child was spotted Thursday evening next to Highway 11 in Covington.

The boy was taken to the hospital to get checked out and is fine.

Investigators have found his mother, but still aren’t sure how he ended up on the side of the highway.
