Top 3 Diets for 2025: Mediterranean, DASH, and Flexitarian Diets for a Healthier You
The Mediterranean Diet, the DASH Diet, and the Flexitarian Diet are the three standout winners for 2025—each focusing on improving health in unique ways. But how do they work? And which one is the right fit for you?
We spoke with registered dietitian to get insight on how these diets can help you live healthier, longer lives. Starting with the Mediterranean Diet.
“In general, the Mediterranean diet is a great option for most people. While I believe diets should be individualized, if anyone wants to get healthier, the Mediterranean diet is a good place to start. It is anti-inflammatory, and an anti-inflammatory diet is a great foundation that almost anyone can follow,” said Danielle Killeffer, owner of Nutrapothica.
Coming in second is the DASH Diet, which focuses on leafy greens, whole grains, and lean proteins to manage hypertension.
“I do remember that it’s good to avoid salt. I’m of the opinion that table salt tends to spike blood pressure, and many of the minerals we need can be found in sea salt,” said Danielle.
