TOSHA investigating workplace death of Officer Nicholas Galinger
NASHVILLE (WDEF) – The state of Tennessee is investigating what happened to Chattanooga Police officer Nicholas Galinger.
The investigation began when the officer was hit by a car on February 24th.
“TOSHA is investigating the circumstances the led to this workplace fatality.”
The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration focuses on workplace safety and health. They inspect and enforce guidelines from the Department of Labor.
The state agency does not release any preliminary information while they are still investigating a case.
It will be made public at the end.
TOSHA has not inspected the Chattanooga Police Department in the last five years.
Janet Hinds has been bound over to the grand jury on vehicular homicide charges.
On Wednesday afternoon, she made bond and was turned over to the Hamilton County Pre-Trial Services Program to be outfitted with a GPS monitoring unit. She will be supervised by Pre-Trail Services personnel under her court ordered conditions of bond.
