Tractor Trailer Overturns on I-24 W Near Ridge Cut in Chattanooga

6:50 UPDATE: Traffic has reopened on I 24 westbound following truck wreck.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Emergency crews responded to 1-24 W in Hamilton Co where a tractor trailer truck overturned early this morning.

The call came in just after 2AM.

The truck overturned around Exit 181– just before the ridge-cut.

The driver was treated for minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved.

Westbound traffic has been diverted off of the interstate until after 7AM.

The Germantown exit has been shut down.

Expect more traffic than usual through the tunnels this morning.
