Traffic stop nets heroin, meth, marijuana and lots of guns in Whitfield County
DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – A traffic stop Wednesday in Whitfield County started an investigation that ended up with five arrests on drug charges.
A deputy pulled over a Honda Odyssey on the South Bypass just before 10:30 AM.
Officers brought in a K 9, which alerted on the sliding door.
They say a search turned up a large quanity of methamphetamine, marijuana, a handgun and $2000.
The took the two occupants into custody, Nicolas Ochoa Olguin from Chatsworth and Manuel Hernandez from Oklahoma City.
Investigators also got information from them on another wanted suspect for trafficking heroin.
They found Megan Burkett at an Econo Lodge on North Tibbs, along with more meth.
Later in the afternoon, they were tailing another vehicle believe to be connected to Olguin and Burkett around Upper Ridge Road.
Investigators arrested two more suspects and confiscated several guns.
They believe that this vehicle was moving guns out of Olguin and Hernandez’s house before officers arrived.

Jonathan Long, age 24, Chatsworth, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
